Free Flight is a classical/jazz quartet that performs concerts and clinics all over the United States and Canada. Based on improvisation, Free Flight's repertoire includes classical and jazz standards, as well as original compositions. The groups' leader Jim Walker is known around the world for his flute playing. Jim can be heard on over five hundred major motion pictures, most notably Titanic. He also performed with Paul McCartney on the Oscar Awards. An amazing educator as well, Jim is director of the flute department at The University of Southern California. Free Flights pianist and composer is Brian Pezzone. Brian is an accomplished jazz and classical pianist and composer. He has played on many movie and television sessions. Free Flight's bassist is Tim Emmons. Tim is an accomplished performer and educator in the Los Angeles area. He has also played on several movie and television sessions.
